TV Production & Pre-Production Classes at NECAT

CLASSES:   January 7th and 8th, 2022

TV Production
( Two) 2-night class teaching you all of the technical elements of working in our TV studio: Camera Operation, Video Switching, Audio Engineering, Conducting Interviews, Lighting Design, and Teleprompter Control.

You also learn the Floor Director and Technical Director roles. After you have taken this class, you will automatically earn a Technician level membership at no further charge for your first year at the studio.

TV Pre-Production is the second part of the class after TV Production has been completed. This class teaches you all of the elements of putting a series together, managing a studio, collaborating with the crew, and becoming a NECAT Producer.

Once classes are completed, you can then book the studio to start shooting your own production.

We are pleased to offer 3 complimentary technical classes after you become a member: Editing, Green Screen and Audio.

Please note, that you cannot take these 3 classes until you have completed the required classes You must be an active member to take these.

Nashville Education, Community, and Arts Television (NECAT) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with a mission that is two-fold:

1. expose middle TN viewers to arts and education programming created both locally and around the world, and

2. teach individuals and organizations who wish to make TV shows how to do so, let them use our equipment and resources, then broadcast those shows for them.
