Letter from the President

Hello WIFT  Members 

Thank you for entrusting me with leading this organization . Women in film is one of 35 chapters on six continents. What an amazing group of women we are.

Around the world you will run into Women in Film members who like yourselves are seeking to work in this industry and be recognized for their efforts. Women are still climbing in every area of the film/television and media industry. You will have shared experience in many cases and these encounters can lead to collaborations which is terrific!

We are here to help in many ways. We gather often to share information to mentor and to support you and we will continue to do so. To that end we will be engaged with Film Com in a few months time starting with the Tennessee International Indie film festival, Script Com, Score Com, Film Com and end the month of November with Actor Com. There are opportunities for our members there. We hope you can participate in many of these annual offerings.

Though my tenure as president will be brief as my family is relocating out of state, I will be available to help you. If I cannot help you directly I can certainly put you in touch with someone who may. I will be focused on you, building new leadership and creating a viable succession plan for the organization. If you would like to learn more about leadership positions and committee leadership, please don't hesitate to reach out.

I am looking forward to meeting each of you, seeing where pathways can open and bridges can be built to your future.
